Proximity template: a drifting field of cards that swell near the middle

How Proximity moves

Proximity lays out a big field of small cards and slides it through the frame. Each card grows as it nears the middle and shrinks to a speck toward the edges, like a magnifier passing over a contact sheet. Tune the density, the size at the centre and at the edge, and the drift direction. Great for large sets of shots.

In the studio you can tune its 8 settings along with the background, shadow and loop length, and your images never leave your device.

Make a Proximity video

  1. Step 1

    Open the template

"Use this template" opens Proximity in the studio at 1:1, already playing with sample work.

  2. Step 2

    Add your work

It starts with 12 spots for images or short videos. Empty spots repeat your images, so a few are enough.

  3. Step 3

    Tune the motion

Change the 8 settings above, the loop length (14 seconds to start), background and shadow.

  4. Step 4

    Export the loop

Download MP4 or WebM. 720p is free with a free account and no watermark; 1080p, 2K and 4K come with Pro.
