Good to know
Is Shotreel free?
Yes. 20 templates and 720p export are free, with no watermark. You can start with no account; a free account is needed to export and keeps 2 projects. Pro unlocks all 131 templates, 1080p, 2K and 4K export and up to 50 projects: $4 a month, or $36 a year, at launch price. It goes up to $8 a month later, and anyone who subscribes now keeps the launch price. Until Oct 31 there is also Lifetime: $29 once, Pro forever.
Do my images get uploaded anywhere?
No. Your images and videos stay on your device. The video is rendered in your browser, frame by frame.
Do you store my projects?
No. Your projects are saved in this browser, so you can close the tab and pick up where you left off. A free account keeps 2 projects, Pro keeps up to 50. Nothing is kept on our side.
What size should my images be?
4:3, the same shape as a Dribbble shot, for example 1600×1200. Every card has that shape, so other sizes are cropped to fit. Templates whose cards fill the whole video crop to the video's frame instead.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Open the studio in a desktop browser and start. No plugins, no After Effects.
Can I use videos, not just images?
Yes. Any slot takes an image or a video, and videos stay in sync with the loop when you export.
What can I export?
MP4 or WebM in 16:9, 4:3, 1:1, 4:5, 3:4 or 9:16, at 30 or 60 fps. 720p is free; 1080p, 2K and 4K come with Pro.
Will the video loop seamlessly?
Yes. Every template ends exactly where it starts, so the file loops with no jump.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 7 days of buying Pro, as long as you haven't exported anything in HD with it. Email hello@shotreel.app and we'll refund you in full.
